Volunteer Appreciation and Chickens!

It was a big day on Wednesday June 6th.  We had our annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch.  The theme this year was the wild west.  Our auditorium was transformed into a barn complete with hay bales, a horse saddle and hurricane lanterns.  Casual bouquets of daisies graced each table where volunteers enjoyed Kentucky fried chicken served…

St. Joseph’s High Tea for Lt. Gov. of Ontario Elizabeth Dowdeswell

St. Joseph’s at Fleming was a dazzling sight on May 29th as staff transformed the auditorium into a magnificent setting for High Tea.  Lilacs scented the air while guests were served finger sandwiches, tea, coffee, punch and an assortment of decadent sweets. A roving violinist provided the ambient music to set just the right tone….

Plant Sale

It was a lovely day for the annual May plant sale at St. Joseph’s at Fleming.  John Gray had been busy sorting and labelling the pots with a little help from the “green thumb” volunteers.  The sale raised $512.05 for the Residents Council. It should be a good weekend for traditional Victoria Day planting!
