St. Joseph’s at Fleming is pleased to announce that we are investing in quality care for our Residents through a restructuring of the nursing staff. The restructuring represents the next step in our continuous improvement plan.
Under the new staffing plan, our Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to Residents ratio will be decreased to a 1:25 model of care; and converting from 12 hour to 8 hour shifts. These changes help ensure that nursing staff are always available to attend to Residents’ needs. Another result of the restructuring will be job creation. While the exact number of new positions is still being worked out, we anticipate that St. Joseph’s at Fleming will be hiring more full-time and part-time RPNs in the near future.
