Almost February

Our featured image is a project in progress for Valentine’s Day by our talented Creekside resident June. January is long and dare I say a bit gloomy this year. Our temperatures soared above zero and dropped to chilling lows like a roller coaster. Rain, freezing rain and heavy snow kept us housebound.  But lots went on here with Scottish dancing in honour of Robbie Burns.  We enjoyed scones if not haggis.  We had Paint Night which proved a huge success with the residents and likely we’ll do it again.  The Family Council held another information session with a guest speaker, Sarah Cook from the Alzheimer’s Society.  Family Council plans on a series of talks through the year so be sure to watch out for posters announcing the next one.  We’re looking forward to February with the added bonus of Valentine’s Day to celebrate and a special bingo hosted by the Auxiliary.  Click on photo to enlarge.
