The SJAF Foundation Board is grateful for the generous support of many donors and friends which directly enriches the lives of residents at St Joseph’s at Fleming. During the past two years, the Foundation received many gifts including a $10,000 bequest, a $14,000 donation of corporate shares, a $500 gift from the Royal Bank (the 10th gift of that nature on behalf of a former bank employee and current volunteer), a $16,000 gift from a ‘many times’ donor, and a generous $29,000 gift from a former Board Chair.
In 2016, the Foundation donated $50,000 to the home which was used to complete balcony repairs, add new Resident furniture and assist in the development of the new outdoor Resident Sensory Accessibility Path. This year, the Foundation will once again be reviewing the Home’s requests.
In 2017, Wayne Godward was welcomed to the Foundation Board. His international business expertise and his community involvement will be invaluable to furthering the Foundation’s mission.
Current Projects & Campaign List
Summer 2017 – A significant step in the evolution of the Foundation is forming a partnership with the Dennis Group, a local management consulting firm with a vast amount of experience assisting organizations like ours prepare for successful fundraising campaigns. The ultimate goal is to position the Foundation to be able to conduct annual Capital Campaigns to further assist the Home.
February 2017 – The Foundation held a celebration to honour the legacy of Bill Connolly, a founding board member of the St Joseph’s at Fleming Foundation who passed away in 2012.
