October brings the end of the colorful fall season. Leaves are at their most flamboyant at the beginning and by Halloween the trees are bare silhouettes against an ever darkening skyline. We started here with Octoberfest and ended with the “scariest” of all days. In between there were many concerts, socials, and the annual resident art show. We have many extraordinarily talented individuals living here. Painters, quilters, wood workers, knitters… Our Family Council is looking to increase it’s membership and offer workshops of interest to family members and POA’s. They have been setting up a booth outside the library with questionnaires, coffee and Timbits. We voted on the 21st and our volunteers were honoured at the Ontario Volunteer Awards.
