It was a big day on Wednesday June 6th. We had our annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch. The theme this year was the wild west. Our auditorium was transformed into a barn complete with hay bales, a horse saddle and hurricane lanterns. Casual bouquets of daisies graced each table where volunteers enjoyed Kentucky fried chicken served up by the recreation staff and a few other familiar faces! Our volunteers put in many hours and we are grateful for their dedication to our residents.
We also saw the return of the chickens to the inner courtyard. Their arrival was most welcome, and we will be able to enjoy their antics all summer long!
