It hardly seems possible that 2019 will soon come to an end. The month began with a real blast of winter to get us into the mood for Christmas decorating. But before that we held our very own Remembrance Day Ceremony. This has been a cherished St. Joseph’s at Fleming event for many years. Because we hold it the Thursday before November 11, we can recreate the day complete with a piper, bugler, cadets and featured speaker. Special guests include Legion Members, political representatives, family members, police officers and firefighters. Our veterans are very important, and we are pleased to be able to honour their sacrifices in this meaningful way. Another unique event is our Christmas Card Dedication. We have been fortunate to have very artistic residents these last few years who have designed our cards. This year’s card is the featured image on this Blog posting and was the work of Mr. Kim Krenz.
