Anson House & Marycrest

Marycrest Home for the Aged and Anson House shared a long and respected tradition in Peterborough, with more than 235 years of combined experience providing quality long-term care in the region. In 2004, St. Joseph's at Fleming was officially formed as a 200-bed not-for-profit long-term care home through a partnership between Anson House, Marycrest Home for the Aged, and Fleming College.

1998 Assessment

When a 1998 assessment showed the former buildings would need to be rebuilt, the two homes chose to amalgamate and invited Fleming College into a new partnership focused on learning, research, and healthy aging.

The Foundation

The St. Joseph's at Fleming Foundation was established to support the home through charitable giving, helping fund equipment, technology, furnishings, and facility improvements that enhance resident comfort and care.
While government funding supports day-to-day operations, foundation support helps make meaningful enhancements possible for residents and families.

Why Foundation Support Matters

Foundation support helps bridge the gap between essential operational funding and the enhancements that make a home more comfortable, modern, and responsive to resident needs.

It is one of the key ways community generosity continues to shape life at St. Joseph's at Fleming.
