Important Allergy Information

To protect the health and safety of everyone in our home, lilies, lavender, and strongly scented products (i.e. perfumes, colognes) are not permitted in the building due to the risk of severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reactions. Staff, visitors, and residents must avoid bringing or wearing these items, including scented personal products and floral arrangements. Any prohibited items brought into the home will be removed immediately. Thank you for helping maintain a safe environment for everyone.

The Be a Saint Golf Tournament

We are pleased to share that our recent golf tournament was a wonderful success, raising $30,000 in support of our home. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this achievement – whether through generous donations, volunteering your time, or participating in the event. Your support and community spirit made this fundraiser truly special. We are grateful for your continued commitment to enhancing the lives of our residents.

Enjoy Our Activity Spaces Together

A friendly reminder that each home area has a resident activity room stocked with supplies for everyone to enjoy. Families and visitors are always welcome to use these materials while spending time together, and many of these activities may also appeal to children and grandchildren during visits. We kindly ask that all items are returned when finished so everyone can continue to enjoy them. We also have a games lounge on the first floor (located by the vending machines) with a variety of games and activities available for all to enjoy!

Resident Room Doors:

Notices have gone out over the last two weeks to remove decorations and notices from resident room doors, in line with direction from the Fire Enforcement Team. Staff will complete removal of remaining items to ensure ongoing compliance.

Meal Tickets

We’re excited to offer meal tickets for visitors who would like to enjoy lunch or dinner with residents at SJF!

Tickets can be purchased at reception for $8 for lunch and $10 for dinner.

Please note:

  • Tickets must be purchased at least 1.5 hours prior to the meal being served.
  • Each resident may host a maximum of 3 guests per meal.

We look forward to sharing these special moments with you!

Welcoming Our New Nurse Manager

Erica Mallory will join the Home as the new Nurse Manager effective April 7, 2026. She brings experience in acute care, long-term care, leadership, resident-centred practice, team collaboration, and professional growth.
Families are invited to join the home in welcoming Erica to the team.
Operations Notice

Road Closure & Water Supply Outage

A scheduled water outage affects St. Joseph's at Fleming on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from midnight to 4:00 a.m. while the City installs a new valve on Brealey Drive. Road closures are also noted from 8:00 p.m. on March 29, 2026 to 8:00 a.m. on March 30, 2026.
Visitors were advised that access would remain available from Lansdowne Street.
Family Event

Easter Dinner

Families are invited to join SJF's Easter Dinner on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Meal tickets are $10 each, available at reception, and must be purchased no later than Monday, March 30, 2026.
Families are warmly invited to celebrate Easter together.
Staff Farewell

Farewell to Nurse Practitioner Chantelle Hart

Chantelle Hart will be leaving the home on Friday, March 27, 2026 as she returns to primary care after more than two years of service to residents, families, and staff.
The message thanks her for her dedication and wishes her well in the next chapter of her career.
Community Event

6th Annual Be a Saint Golf Tournament

Supporters are asked to save the date for the 6th Annual Be a Saint Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at The Quarry, with registration and sponsorship details coming soon.
Join us for a fun day on the course in support of the home.
Resident Notice

Resident Room Doors
